Janet’s recipe work reflects her respect for and love of food. Sure, recipes are a roadmap to dinner, but they’re also a lot more. They’re a record of history and culture and memories and connection. If food is love, recipes are often the initial spark—and Janet loves to light that fire. She has deep experience developing her own recipes, testing the recipes of other developers and chefs, and leading, advising, and collaborating with fellow Test Kitchen recipe developers. She has a knack for creating delicious, reliable recipes that have an element of surprise, is skilled at respectfully collaborating with fellow cooks to fine-tune their recipes, and is known for her crack recipe editing skills, which is the secret sauce in making sure a recipe truly works.
